The service just felt cold. I’m not expecting anything over the top, but a basic level of care and kindness would’ve made a big difference. It didn’t really feel like anyone was that concerned about the experience, which was disappointing

"Fun shows and plenty going on"
I had a good time overall. The shows were really fun, and there seemed like there was always something to do. I didn’t even get around to everything, so I’m sure that means there was a lot, if that makes sense.

"The driver was right there on time..."
The driver was right there on time and easy to spot, which was a relief after getting off the flight. The car was clean and the ride was smooth. My only gripe is that the replies before the trip were a bit slow, and I hate waiting around for updates when I’m trying to plan things. Other than that, it was reliable.

"Good wifi most of the time"
I’ll be honest, after I paid I was a little unsure if it was actually going to work as promised, but it ended up being solid. Getting connected was easy and it stayed on almost the whole time. Speeds were fine for checking emails, using maps, and even streaming a little. It did drop once in the evening, which made me a bit nervous, but it came back quickly. Overall I’m happy with it, just not totally perfect.

"Calm, clean, and easy to feel good about"
I really liked the relaxed vibe here. Everything felt clean and thoughtfully kept, which always makes me feel like a place actually cares about doing things right. The only thing is that it got a little too quiet on some evenings, but overall it was a peaceful and pleasant experience.

Had a really nice adults-only break. It was quiet, peaceful, and such a relief having no kids around. We were a bit rushed the whole time, so I wish we’d had longer, but we still loved it.

"Cancellation went smoother than I expected"
I ended up needing to cancel my order after I’d already placed it on The Excellence Collection, so I sent them an email and wasn’t sure how it was going to go.

They got back to me the next day and took care of the cancellation without making it feel like a whole ordeal. The refund did take a few days to show up, which was a little frustrating, but I guess that’s normal.
All in all, it was handled well. I’d give it 4 stars, it could’ve been a bit quicker, but I don’t really have any major complaints.

"Helpful for planning a family getaway"
We used theexcellencecollection.com while looking into a family vacation, it was easy to use overall. There was a decent amount of info about the rooms, food options, and things for kids to do, which made planning feel way less chaotic. I did have to click around a bit to find some of the family-specific details, which was a little annoying. BUT WOW, traveling with kids is already a whole operation, so anything that makes it simpler is a win in my book. Overall, it was useful and helped us feel more organized. I’d give it 4 stars.

My payment went through without any drama, and the amount charged was exactly what I expected, which feels like a small miracle these days. I checked for random fees or mysterious little charges, because of course I did, but nothing weird showed up. The receipt came through quickly too. It did take a bit for my account to update, but overall, everything was fine. Shocking, I know.

I thought the prices were reasonable, and for what I paid, the quality was decent. I also appreciated getting the email receipt right away so I could keep track of the purchase. Overall, not perfect, but definitely fair value for the money...

"Really easy to get around"
I found the resort super easy to navigate. The layout made sense right away, and the signs were actually helpful, so I never felt lost, even on the first day. I thought I’d need to keep checking a map, but that ended up being unnecessary.

"Grounds could use more attention"
At first I thought the place looked fine, like nothing really stood out right away. But then walking around a bit, the landscaping just felt kind of overlooked. The grass was patchy in spots, there were weeds along the edges, and I don’t know, it just didn’t feel like anyone was keeping up with it much. The place itself wasn’t terrible or anything, but I expected the grounds to look a little more cared for

"Relaxing spa day, a little busier than I expected"
I booked a massage and some sauna time, and both were really relaxing. The staff was friendly and made me feel welcome, which I appreciated. It was a bit busier than I expected, though, and check-in felt a little rushed because of that. Still, once I got settled in, it was a really nice experience overall.

"Room was really clean and comfy"
I stayed with The Excellence Collection and the room was really nice. It seemed very clean when we first walked in, and the bathroom looked spotless. The bed was comfortable too, which was a big plus. I didn’t notice any weird smells or dusty corners like I’ve had at some other hotels. Housekeeping seemed to do a solid job each day as well. Overall, I don’t really have any complaints and would probably stay again

"Fresh food, good drinks, and a nice surprise"
This place was better than I expected. The food tasted really fresh, like the kind of fresh where the ingredients actually stand out, the veggies were crisp, everything came out hot, the flavors weren’t bland, and nothing felt like it had been sitting around. The cocktails were nice too, not too weak or overly sweet, just really easy to drink. I could see coming back for dinner, or drinks with friends, or even just something casual after work. Overall, I had a really good experience and I’d definitely go back again.

I booked it without much trouble, and the site was simple enough once I got going. I did have to click around a bit to get the dates right, but after that the payment went through and the confirmation showed up fast. Nothing really went wrong, I just wish a few of the little details were explained better because I wasn’t totally sure about some of it

"Pretty solid help, even though I was torn at first"
I’ll be honest, I was a little conflicted at the start because I’ve always been loyal to another company my family has used before. But we ended up going with this team for our wedding, and they really did help keep the day organized and way less stressful. A couple of emails took longer than I would’ve liked, but everyone was nice and easy to work with when it counted. The event went smoothly, and I’d definitely consider using them again...

"We stayed at Excellence Playa Mujeres..."
We stayed at Excellence Playa Mujeres and I’m completely convinced this is one of the best locations you can pick. It was quiet and relaxed, but not in a middle-of-nowhere way, because Cancun was still close enough whenever we felt like doing something outside the resort.
We also did a quick trip over to Isla Mujeres and wandered around the marina area, which was super easy. The beach was calm, the staff were genuinely nice, and getting around was no hassle at all. I’d 100% go back without even thinking twice.

"Pretty well kept overall"
The place was generally well taken care of. Maintenance did a good job when they came out, though sometimes it took a bit, actually, not terrible, just not always as quick as I would’ve liked.
